Romanian Heidelberg

We went on through some traffic jams to Brasov. The modern city was surprisingly big and traffic was very „messy“ (Alan).

In the Old Town, the (arrangement of the) buildings, the big cathedral, the cable car up on a mountain reminded us very much of Heidelberg.

Outside the (super!) touristy streets, this part of the city was rather empty with broken, abandoned houses.

Magdalena found the narrowest street in Europe.

Our dinner in Brasov: bean soup in a „cauldron“ (Transylvanian potato bread), beef pie (ground meat on mashed potatoes), and lamb slices with polenta. Unfortunately, there are always some smokers on the neighboring tables.
