Latvian food sampling

We parked right across a large outdoor farmer’s market with local vegetables and fruits, including juice, but also clothes. There were also halls with stalls selling local cheese, meat, fish, bread, and pastry. We had pockets with different dough and dill filling – one combined with leek, one with egg, one with thick cream cheese. Other pockets were filled with mushrooms or grilled cheese. We ate a lot of cherries, strawberries and different little cakes with pudding, rhubarb, raspberry, chocolate, tiramisu. We also got plum and birch juice.

On the walk through the Old Town of Riga:

All along the country roads that we drive on, we see many storks, cows, and horses. In fact, there don‘t seem to be motor highways in Latvia and Estonia.
